Penelope Kenny
Founder and Director
Penelope Kenny is a Chartered Accountant and experienced leader with a track record of delivering timely and effective results. She has held an extensive range of key positions in state bodies and in the financial services industry.
She specialises in corporate governance, strategic business transformation, change management and financial control. Penelope has over 20 years experience enhancing organisational performance and effectiveness in the corporate functions of public sector organisations, and listed companies.
Penelope has most recently led compliance work on the implementation of the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies 2016, both as a consultant to a state body and as chair of the Audit and risk committees of IMMA (up to 2020) and of Grangegorman Development agency, where she is boardmember, by Ministerial appointment. She is also external member of the Audit and Risk committee of Dun Laoghaoire Rathdown County Council with assets of 3.4B.
She is a member of the Institute of Directors, and in 2021 became an INSEAD certified Director with an Insead certificate in Corporate Governance. She holds a Masters Degree in Cultural Policy from University College Dublin. In December 2014, her book on Corporate Governance for the Irish Arts sector was published by the Chartered Accountants Ireland. She is an affiliate of the Irish Chartered Secretaries Association.
She has lectured on Corporate governance to Masters degree students in UCD and presents to Chartered Accountants Ireland Continuing Professional Development programs (CPD), she has also been visiting lecturer to the DCU business Masters program.
